Guardian Buys PaidContent

PaidContent is announcing that they’ve been bought by the Guardian Media Group for an amount somewhere in the vicinity of $30,000,000. PaidContent is a blog format news site which focuses on the digital content industry, and is part of the ContentNext network which includes several other lesser known blogs.

The ContentNext network, which includes MocoNews.net, ContentSutra.com as well as PaidContent.org and PaidContent.co.uk also specializes in running events focused on the digital news media industry.

For its part, the Guardian Media Group states that they’re planning to keep the ContentNext network as an independently operating entity and is looking forward to further acquisitions in the industry.
